As PayPal does not operate directly in Pakistan, individuals seeking to access its services from Pakistan can do so by linking a Payoneer account. Payoneer, an online transaction company, facilitates transactions through PayPal, enabling users to send and receive funds seamlessly.

To link a Payoneer account with PayPal, follow these steps:

  1. Open the PayPal website and log in to your account.
  2. Click on “Link a bank” option on your Account Summary page.
  3. If your bank is listed, enter your online banking login information to automatically link your account. If not, proceed to the next step.
  4. Obtain your Payoneer account’s Routing Number and USA Virtual Account No by activating the US Payment Service in your Payoneer account.
  5. Enter the Routing Number and USA Virtual Account No into your unverified PayPal account.
  6. Wait to receive two small deposits from PayPal into your Payoneer account.
  7. Once received, log in to your PayPal account and enter the same amount of deposits to verify your PayPal account.

It’s crucial to note that this method is the legal way to use PayPal in Pakistan, and individuals should avoid falling into the traps of scammers offering fake PayPal accounts for sale.

Alternatively, individuals with the means to travel to countries where PayPal operates, such as Dubai or the USA, can open a bank account there and sign up for a PayPal account.

Additionally, Xoom, a money transfer service owned by PayPal, offers users in Pakistan the ability to electronically transfer funds, pay bills, and reload mobile phones from the United States and Canada to 131 countries. Notably, Xoom was used by the Pakistan Government for donation collection during specific initiatives.

By following these guidelines, individuals in Pakistan can securely access PayPal’s services and engage in online transactions with ease and legality.
